ABOUT US

ADVISING AND GUIDING

Central elements of the Bowles Hall Residential College experience are the academic and career advising programs. Led by the in-residence College Principal, a senior member of the Berkeley faculty, and strongly supported by a Board comprising distinguished campus faculty, administration, and Bowles Hall alumni, our residential experience helps undergraduate students identify their aptitudes and interests, and pursue a related degree and career path.

THE BOWLES HALL VISION

The Bowles Hall Residential College is designed to promote genuine diversity by welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, and academic interests. The combination of talents, passions, and strengths into an organized and stable environment allows residents to learn from peers of different backgrounds. The Hall is designed to be a multi-year residential option, serving as a University home for the duration of the student's undergraduate experience.

STUDENT-CENTERED OPERATIONS

We promote individual and collective achievement in a culture of integrity and respect. We offer students in Bowles Hall significant leadership opportunities in a safe and supportive self-governed residential environment. Students elect officers, maintain civil discipline, and create committees that organize the social, intramural, and outreach activities of the Hall.
